Gold seems to be the best place to invest your money at the moment. Now that the property boom is over people are looking elsewhere to keep their money safe. And why not? Governments do it. Just look at America and its’ gold reserves in Fort Knox and the Federal Reserve.

The global credit crunch that happened affected everyone and every business, some good but most bad. I read an article not too long ago saying that when the dust settles, it will be a new dawn for the diamond industry. Things are going to change in the way we do business. Diamond jewellery has seen a slight decline in sales, but people are still on the lookout for the best deals as many couples are still getting hitched!

These changes occurred mainly online with sales rising from everyone looking for a better deal, and most of the time getting it. As more jewellery companies look to sell their products online the main problem(s) that they’re faced with are trust and the inability for customers to physically try on and wear, touch and feel the products they wish to purchase.

For the well established brands the trust factor isn’t really too much of an issue, but even they can’t escape the impossibility of physical objects in a virtual world. Most online jewellery stores are trying to combat this aspect by integrating a 3D viewer or builder into their website.

Anyway, i’m going to stop rabbiting on at this point otherwise I’ll end up repeating what others have spent time writing about on the rest of the site. I know there are probably a lot of sites offering help and advice about gold and diamond jewellery, but all I know is that when I’m looking for an answer to one of my questions I can never seem to find a definitive result that actually convinces me to go in one direction.
